DS is implementing and the EU funded Market Access Support Program for EU Businesses in Canada in the CETA Context. The overall objective of this action is to help EU business take full advantage of the Comprehensive Economic and Trade Agreement (CETA) between the EU and Canada, notably by providing facilitated access to relevant information and building a structured platform for multi – faceted communication and outreach between EU business and other EU stakeholders in Canada.

We are currently seeking a highly-motivated Project Executive to join our team to support in Canada based stakeholder outreach remotely. The position, under the supervision of a Brussels based Project Manager, will support the Program’s implementation by, among other activities: presenting the project and its objectives to relevant stakeholders, attending relevant EU-Canada business related events, contacting / interviewing EU business stakeholders regarding their business experience in the Canadian market. Very good communication and relationship-building skills are a necessity given the need for regular cooperation and liaison with EU business, local business associations, government entities, as well as the coordination with the Brussels based team.

Qualifying candidates should be located in Toronto or Ottawa. The successful candidate will work from their own home or office, with regular meetings at external offices. A personal laptop computer and reliable internet connection is required. Weekly coordination calls with the Brussels based Project Manager will be held to coordinate activities.

Qualifications

Ideal candidates require:

• Undergraduate degree or higher, preferably focused on international trade or business;
• Ability to work with limited direction, and capacity to ensure strong coordination with colleagues and stakeholders, as well as strong organisational skills;
• Very good communication and relationship-building ability with strong client servicing skills;
• Reliability, initiative, thoroughness and attention to detail;
• Computer literacy in Microsoft Office suite applications (Word, Excel, PowerPoint);
• Very good writing and editing skills in English, knowledge of French is advantageous;
• Willingness to travel domestically as required
