The Euro-Mediterranean Centre for Climate Change Foundation (CMCC) (www.cmcc.it) is the non-profit Italian research centre on climate science and policy. Its activities focus on the development and applications of models of climate dynamics, impacts of climate change and adaptation and mitigation policies.

The CMCC is seeking a talented, motivated and proactive person to join the Fund Raising Office.

This job announcement is a public invitation to express interest for the above mentioned CMCC Position.

The location is CMCC premises in Milan.

The primary purposes for this position is to support the Fund Raising Office activities with the following tasks:

  • To analyse and monitor funding opportunities for research activities at national, European and international levels;
  • To develop and maintain an electronic database of funding sources that may be of interest for CMCC research activities;
  • To pre-select funding opportunities that may be relevant for CMCC research activities and verify the eligibility conditions and requirements for the proposed grants
  • To analyse rules and financial and administrative documentation of the selected calls;
  • To contribute to the drawing up of the grant proposals particularly as concerns their administrative and financial contents;
  • To support CMCC research staff in the negotiation of the grant contracts with the financing bodies;
  • To liaise with researchers to build research partnerships and consortia
  • To support the management activities of EU funded projects
  • To perform other related duties as required.

The desired qualifications are:

  • University degree; a Master degree in European project management is desirable
  • From 3 to 5 years of work experience in field of European project management
  • Fluency in Italian. Very good knowledge of (spoken and written) English is essential
  • Proficiency in basic computer skills (Windows, Ms Office – Word, Excel, Power Point – Internet)
  • Strong commitment in implementing the tasks described above
  • Strong analytical ability to identify and analyse issues/problems
  • Conscientious and efficient in meeting commitments and deadlines and in achieving results
  • Ability to work both independently with minimal supervision and in team
  • Ability to identify priority activities and assignments, and to adjusts priorities as required
  • Good communications skills (spoken and written); ability to establish and maintain good relationships with colleagues and outside collaborators

Belonging to legally protected categories (ex L. 68/99) will constitute a preferential condition.

La risorsa da inserire nell’area “Project Financial Management” dovrà fornire supporto tecnico-specialistico alle aziende clienti in ambito monitoraggio e rendicontazione di progetti finanziati a valere su risorse comunitarie, nazionali e regionali.
Nel dettaglio, la risorsa si occuperà delle seguenti attività i) raccolta e gestione di informazioni utili al monitoraggio dello stato di avanzamento del progetto; ii) verifica della corretta applicazione della normativa che disciplina la fase di esecuzione del progetto; iii) rendicontazione delle spese sostenute secondo gli standard specifici dello strumento di finanziamento; iv) gestione delle comunicazioni con i vari attori coinvolti (enti finanziatori, partner, fornitori, etc.).
Il candidato ideale deve essere in possesso dei seguenti requisiti: laurea magistrale in discipline giuridico-economiche, conoscenza della normativa relativa ai fondi comunitari ed agli aiuti di Stato, ottima conoscenza del pacchetto Office, capacità di lavorare in team; spiccate doti relazionali e comunicative.

Centro Universitario di Formazione in Europrogettazione segnala: proposta di lavoro (part-time) a Bruxelles

SOLIDAR is looking for a part time EU Grant administration officer (0.6 FTE) to join its team as soon as possible.

The post holder will report directly to the Secretary General and the DEVCO Framework Partnership Agreement (FPA) Coordinator.

Key results:

  • Provide timely and accurate support to the FPA management in regards with admin and finances requirements, including financial reporting;
  • Develop contract models for partners and service providers in line with donors requirements and rules;
  • Develop financial guidelines and trainings for partners and members.

Main Responsibilities:

  • Draft MoU, financial guidelines and reporting templates for the FPA program’s partners and sub-grantees;
  • Design and deliver trainings on financial reporting for the program’s partners and sub-grantees;
  • Liaise and follow up with FPA partners and FPA sub-grantees for all FPA related admin and financial issues (e. g. collect reimbursement’s documents, prepare invoices, request supporting documents, etc.);
  • Draft services’ contracts ensuring the respect of SOLIDAR and DEVCO public procurement rules;
  • Under the supervision and guidance of the FPA manager, prepare payments’ requests to be submitted to SOLIDAR finances department (i. e. Verify and check reimbursements’ form; compile documents)
  • Under the supervision of the FPA coordinator and in close liaison with SOLIDAR finances’ department, support the preparation of annual interim financial reports to DEVCO and support the preparation of prepare the FPA Annual Audit;
  • Under the supervision and guidance of the FPA coordinator, draft call for tenders to be published on SOLIDAR webpage;
  • Where requested by the FPA coordinator, participate and contribute to CSOs meetings on EU’s grants’ management.

Profile:

  • Proven knowledge of EU grants’ main rules (DG DEVCO, DG Near) and grants’ management main guidelines;
  • Experience in project management (namely budget preparation, preparation of guidelines for partners);
  • Experience in developing and delivery trainings and ability to explain (in writing and orally) clearly and concisely technical financial rules;
  • Persistent and proactive attitude;
  • Attention to details;
  • Open and friendly personality, able to work efficiently in an international team;
  • Excellent command of written and spoken English;
  • Working level knowledge of French;
  • Knowledge of Spanish would be a strong asset;
  • Comprehensive IT literacy;
  • Belgium work permit.

Team Responsibilities:

  • Supporting colleagues in the fulfilling their duties and roles;
  • Being a member of the SOLIDAR team and contributing to the overall fulfilment of the SOLIDAR mission;
  • Attending staff and ad hoc meetings and contributing to the development of SOLIDAR.
  • Other tasks may be included at the request of Secretary General.

Conditions:

  • Working hours: 3 days a week
  • Length of contract: undetermined
  • Indicative salary: 2.346,00 € gross (1 FTE; pro rata 0.6 FTE), plus benefits defined by contract.
